Privacy and cookies
ecec.dev is Eric Clancy's site, with his games on it. Here is everything it collects, and why.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and games people look at. It stores cookies in your browser so that a visit from someone who came before can be told apart from a new one.
- Nothing is used for ads. Advertising features and Google signals are turned off, so nothing here builds a profile of you for advertising.
- Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses. It uses them for a rough location, like a country or city, and then discards them.
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the cookies stay off unless you say yes. Everywhere else they are on unless you say no.
Saying no deletes the analytics cookies the site has already set. Your answer is kept in your browser, so clearing your browser's data asks you again.
What you send in
- Update emails. Signing up for a game's update emails keeps your email address and the game you picked, so the emails can be sent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, which removes your address.
- DrawFight fighters. The fighter form, and DrawFight's own drawing screen, send the drawings, photos and answers you give them to Eric, to make fighters for the game from. They ask for the artist's first name, so the game can say who drew each fighter, and never for an email address.
Neither is sold, shared or used for anything else. Emails go out through Resend, an email delivery service.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server keeps ordinary logs of the pages it serves, including IP addresses, for security and fixing problems.
